Weld County Commissioners are scheduled to meet with Kansas and Nebraska next week to talk about the 51st state.
According to the Greeley Tribune, these two states have expressed interest in joined the effort.
The Weld commissioners have also been making other rounds to meet with other counties, including Morgan, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips, Washington, Yuma and Kit Carson.
